The Red Titanic Bears Return to the Titanic Museum Attractions During the Christmas Season!

We are excited to share some news about some returning some returning friends at the Titanic Museum Attractions in the Ozark and Smoky Mountain communities of Branson, MO and Pigeon Forge, TN. Though “black bears” in these parts have fur in a variety of colors – black, brown, cinnamon and blond – for this year’s holiday season, the museum will welcome the return of some incredibly rare red and plaid bears … of the stuffed variety.

These critters, who will appear among the holiday décor throughout the attraction through December 31, are a reminder that the Museum has continued the Tribute the 135 children aboard. A special exhibit highlights the 135 passengers and crew members who were age 15 or younger when the Titanic set sail, and dozens of artifacts share the very personal stories that demonstrate the lengths families went to in their attempts to protect their next generation. Each bear will come tagged with the name of one of the 135 young passengers aboard the RMS Titanic in 1912.

The museum’s returning plaid-pawed bears are red to symbolize the love between parents and their children. The color makes them a little easier to spot amidst all the holiday décor … and certainly something to catch visitors’ eyes in the gift shop, where the fuzzy friends will be ready for adoption.

The goal of the museum has always been to provide a stimulating connection to history that families can experience together. Honoring the memories of all those aboard is at the core of what was envisioned when the Titanic Museum Attractions opened in 2006 (Branson, MO) and 2010 (Pigeon Forge, TN).
